Umm Ali or Om ali using Olper’s Cream!

Umm Ali is the traditional Eygptian dessert, scrumptious and aromatic. Best recipe to fulfill your tooth craving.


200gm puff pastry
200ml or 1 cup olper’s cream
1 cup milk
½ tin condenced milk
3 pods cardamom (crushed)
dry fruits (almonds, pistachio, desiccated coconut, black & golden raisins)


Grease a baking pan, crush the puff pastry and put half a in base. Spread some dry fruits. Put remaining crushed puff pastry and some more dry fruits. Set it a side.

In a mixing bowl add togather the milk, cardamom, condenced milk and Olper’s Cream and mix very well. pour it gradually on layered puff pastry. 

Sprinkle some dry fruits and bake it for 20 minutes on 180° until the top is brown and most of all the liquid dries up. When the baking is 90 percent done sprinkle the rest of the dry fruits and nuts on top so they won’t burn and taste bitter and look brown.

Allow the dessert to cool down for 10 minutes.

Serve it warm or at room temperature. Njoy!!
