Kashmiri Chai is one of famous, traditional kashmiri pink beverage, which is generally prepared from Kashmiri green tea leaves, in which spices like star anise, cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms are used. It is really rich and yummy in taste. Almonds & pistachio make this chai a little bit nutty. 

This tasty and delicious Kashmiri Chai is ready in almost 30 to 45 minutes. 
Kashmiri chai is also known as noon chai or sheer chai because you can meke it salty or sweety as on your taste and mood. 

So lets start our recipe!


2 glass water
2Tbsp special green tea leaves or kashmiri tea leaves
1 piece of star anise (بادیان کا پھول)
1 piece of Cinnamon stick (دار چینی)
3,4 green cardamoms (ہری الائچی)
¼tsp salt
¼tsp baking soda (میٹھاسوڈا)
1 glass cold water
Sugar and milk
Almonds & Pustachios (Ground)

In a pan on medium heat, add 2  glass water, kashmiri tea leaves, cardamoms, star anise (badiani phool), cinnamon stick and salt. Boil till it remains 1 glass or half in quantity. Turn off the  flame, add baking soda, add half of the cold water, whisk kehwa for about 5 minutes. Then add rest of remaining water, Whisk again till gets dark red color. 

Now bring the flame on, stain kehwa, add sugar and milk and whisk broth to gets a slight froth. The color of the tea should now be a lovely pink. If you add more milk, the color of the tea gets more lighter, choice is depends on you. 

Finaly pour into a cup, sprinkle some ground almonds and pistachios. #Njoy !!
