“The Festival of Lights is a global tradition of celebrating a nation’s hopefulness and prosperity through display of colorful lights and innovation.
DPS Festival of Lights, held at Dawood Public School, on the 27th and 28th, of January 2017 aimed to resonate Karachi’s unique, vibrant and inclusive nature through displays made of dazzling light, a children’s light parade, fireworks, fire performer, amusement rides, fun filled activities, spicy foods and whole lot of entertainment. The Carnival was filled with stalls of food and games set up by students themselves to generate funds for the charity for Lady Dufferin Hospital in Karachi.
Lady Dufferin Hospital is a Not-for-profit organization that is providing best possible medical care to women and children irrespective of socio-economic backgrounds. The hospital provides state of the art medical facilities including obstetric, gynecological and neo-natal pediatric services to thousands of patients who cannot afford good quality of medical treatment.”
