Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, that’s STEM and trend of STEM Education has been growing globally. It is fun and engaging method for students of all ages which involve technology and robotics in more effective ways than before.
And it proved to be equally effective in Pakistan during STEM Savvy Kids 2017 contest. The contest was for students between 3 years to 14 years and has been going on for several weeks now.
During the period students explored the fun yet useful side of science and technology through various activities. They built bridges; they experienced what power of wind can do when used as a source of energy. They had taste of coding and made games through SCRATCH platform. Seeing the response and interest, the team will be expending the coding skills to Lego bots next season of STEM Savvy Kids where not only kids get to make Lego bots but will be operating them through programming.
On 2nd of December, the contest is closing with a prize distribution ceremony and a Robotics Festival where kids will be interacting with robots from Lego Bots by Edvon, Robotics Lab and there will be Humanoid Robots on the display too.
We can talk about benefits of STEM Education forever and are going to discuss but in short and easy words, STEM Education offers a unique way of learning, it invites students to think more and prepare them for modern technology. It prepares them to build a better futuristic era.
