There are many factors to think about while counting what makes us happy. But have we ever realized, that giving back to our community positively and helping those in need is more satisfying than anything? Living in a culture dominated with the mantra of helping your own kin only, sometimes we lose this perspective of reaching out to others. Hence, KFC Mitao Bhook took the initiative to help people in need which we hope teaches everyone to be more inclusive!
KFC’s CSR Mitao Bhook took the initiative in 2014 and ever since, there has been no looking back. They have partnered with various non-profit organizations and worked on different causes which include Zindagi Trust, an organization founded by Shahzad Roy which is actively working to reform government schools and provide quality education to underprivileged children. They have also funded a research for cancer treatment with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center and also worked with The Citizens Foundation.
We are familiar that KFC is helping Pakistan’s deaf community get quality education, training, and employment opportunities and we all have come across the deaf staff employed at KFC restaurants across Pakistan. They always greet us with so much warmth and fondness. Yet, sometimes we face difficulty in understanding their language. This gave birth to a thought, “Why can’t we be as adaptive and eloquent in learning their language? Sign Language!”
To solve this problem, KFC came up with a solution and started a Sign Movement with a series of videos educating customers about Sign Language featuring Pakistan’s favorite celebrity host, Anoushey Ashraf. These video series are fun and informative at the same time. Anoushey does an excellent job in bridging the communication gap and proved to be a great Sign Instructor!

Join KFC’s Sign Movement in bridging the gap between verbal and sign language. We all collectively need to help Pakistan’s deaf community with KFC to groom them and provide them with quality education, training, and employment opportunities. Play your part because helping others is an act we should strive for!
