Finally the big day arrived for Nokia and Android fans. As last of the rumors spilled, Nokia announced not one but first of their 3 Android budget smart phones.

Nokia X phones look exactly the same as Nokia Asha 501, only larger to fit 4 and 5 inch display. Apart from the looks, there are no other similarities between Asha series and Nokia X. Nokia brought in new UI for their Androids, which is blend of WindowsPhone, Asha/N9 and Android.
Hands on of Nokia X+ by engadget.com
Front of UI formed up with Tiles-like sizable shortcuts, use Swipe gesture from Asha/N9 and you will get FastLane for all useful notifications and swiping down from top will give us the settings.
To my joy there is Always-on or Glance-screen available as well so users will not have to turn on the display to check times or notifications. The screen will always on and display notifications and time.
Android Apps For Nokia Android Smart Phones
Now the most important part all the users were concerned about – Apps. There is no Google Play Store available in the device, but good news for users is, we can install any Android app from any of the available Android stores.
Important to note that the software compatibility is not 100% guaranteed for all Android apps.
Although Nokia established their own Android Store for their own Android smart phones, but to set an example of installing apps from other resources, Nokia Androids are coming with Yandex Android Store preloaded.
Android applications can also be installed through File Manager.
For Android App Developers
Nokia did not forget about the developers either. Developers can add their existing apps to Nokia Android Store without making any changes unless their apps are integrated with Google services such as Maps or Notifications. In that case developers need to convert their connections to Microsoft/Nokia alternate apps.
