Dinner in the Sky is “one of the ten most unusual restaurants in the world” according to renowned publication Forbes. Started just 11 years ago in Belgian, it has been a pure joy ride for thrill seekers in 62 countries since, and expending.
‘It was just a local product’, co-founder of Dinner in the Sky Stefan Joan told the press during official announcement of bringing their one of a kind suspended restaurant in Karachi, making Pakistan the 63rd country to enjoy this unique experience of having meal 50 meters or above, in the clouds.
How is this going to be done, you ask?
A crane capable to lift a specially made table, the guests, the staff and chefs, 223 feet high in the sky with fresh air, an open view of horizon as far as one can see while having delicious cuisine. Dinner in the Sky is not limited to just eat, but this can be more. Ali Atara hinted new business possibilities to corporate.
Announcement of this exciting concept attracted not only press, media and bloggers but representatives from corporate sectors and Pakistan’s top celebrities including Nadia Hussain, Azfar Rehman, Kiran Khan and Omer Shahzad were among the guests.
In the announcement, we get to learn about several rumors highlighted by the hosts and I believe clearing them is as important as the launch announcement itself.
Stefan himself told the media that Mr. Ali Atara is their official DITS partner in bringing the company in Pakistan as ‘Dinner in the Sky Pakistan’. Prior the announcement, there has been several names claiming to own “Dinner in the Sky” in Pakistan, now you know the truth.
Another rumor was about a certain video of accident at one of DITS locations, to which Mr. Stefan expressed his anger toward the video and informed media that there were no such accident happened and their investigation proved that the video was fake.
Stefan Joan, the co-founder and technical head Fredericus Christianus specially came to Pakistan from Belgian for the announcement. They were pleased by this wonderful experience. Stefan repeatedly talked about his visit to Karachi and friendly reception they have got from everyone. He ended his speech with “Pakistan Zindabad” followed by loud applauded from the audiences.
The partners also insisted media personals to make sure the ‘enthusiasts’ find correct names, and official online channels and tags to track when they seek information about “Dinner in the Sky Pakistan”.
